Supporting documents
When clients apply for a loan, it is important, for the sake of time and efficiency, that they do some preparation. Copies (NOT ORIGINALS) of the following documents should be sourced prior to the meeting for submission at the time of application:
- Identification, eg. driver's licence, birth certificate and Medicare card (Full page copy)
- 2 X latest consecutive pay slips for each applicant
- Letter from employer stating terms and conditions, especially when a company vehicle is provided for private use
- All bank statements for past 3-6 months, depending on lender requirement
- All statements associated with financial commitments, credit card, car or personal loan repayments and/or conformation of payments, eg. finance documents
- Change of name documents, eg. marriage certificate or declaration of name change.
Having the correct documents ready for your broker saves you time and assists the broker to be efficient at submitting your loan application. A loan can be held up for up to 48 hours if documents are missing.
